New Year Intentions 2013

December 31st, 2012 | Life | | Comments

I’ve always hated the term New Years Resolutions. I do appreciate that it is a motivating factor that gets a lot of butts off the coach and puts plans into action, but I always felt like they are an excuse for something they should of started months ago. For that reason I call them New Years Intentions. These are definitive items that I am going to accomplishments in the year. No excuses, I’m finding a way to get it done. It may be a good idea to review what I, Shane Hale, set out to accomplish in 2012, and if I fell short of any of these goals. Last Years Goals:…

Intercontinental Moorea Lagoon

The final stop on our Honeymoon was the island of Moorea. On day seven we took a 45min flight from Bora Bora to Moorea, where stayed at the Intercontinental Moorea. This hotel featured a dolphin lagoon and sea turtle rescue center. But what we were interested in was the spa. From the first glimpse of the island, years of stress were immediately lifted. We stayed 5 nights in this paradise in an overwater bungalow at the InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort. Our vacation package included breakfast and dinner, but we escaped to a local favorite. Bloody Mary’s is one of the more popular restaurants on the island and now we know why. Upon arriving we were presented with a wide array of fresh caught fish and New Zealand beef. You select your dinner right from this…

Honeymooning in Papeete, Tahiti

November 14th, 2012 | Travel | | Comments

After quite a bit of debate and negotiating, Brandie and I decided on taking a 10 day Honeymoon to French Polynesia. Only 8hrs away, we felt it would give us everything we are looking for in a honeymoon destination. Reflecting back on this trip, it went beyond all of our expectations. Our first stop, and point of entry was Papeete, Tahiti. The capital city of French Polynesia and the Society Islands, it wasn’t very resort like, but exposed us to the tahitian daily life. We spent our first day in the city of Papeete, exploring the local market places. There was a lot of shopping and a lot of surf…
